Songs in the Key of Grace

Oh Come All Ye To Joy

Oh Come All Ye To Joy

This is a mash-up of two Christmas classics: “Oh Come All Ye Faithful,” and Beethoven’s “Joyful, Joyful” (Ode to Joy). Hopefully, Beethoven is not rolling over in his grave! I used this song to open one of my Christmas programs because it invites everyone to come joyfully to Christmas. I created two versions of this song: one with a regular choir and piano; and another anthem type of version complete with violin, cello, trumpets, organ, and bells. Other instruments will also work with the regular choir version depending on what you can add to your choir.

Lyrics

Oh, come all ye faithful. Joyful, joyful come and behold Him.
Oh, come all ye faithful. Joyful, joyful come and adore Him.
Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love.
Hearts unfold like flow’rs before Thee, op’ning to our God above.
Bells are ringing, angels singing, praise Thy name eternally.
Oh come let us adore Thee. Christ the Lord.
